Wildsteed's first album featuring the full seven piece band.

Songs are written by Mark Whelan and Joe Oestman, with a special collaboration on the title track Shot of the Country.

Will Ray plays guitar is in his usual swamp grass style of rippin and tearing up the strings, while Wayne Cook shreds on the ivory's. The female background harmonies of the girls next door complete their sound to give them the full effect of a well

produced album.

This album showcases his guitar and pedal steel with a few

select banjo and mandolin pieces. Other local musicians appear on fiddle, acoustic bass guitar and vocals. It has the distinct sound of new grass, mixed with Americana, along with the crisp vocals fans are accustomed to.
